A Spring Wedding At Great Lodge

This was a special one for me. I’ve known these two (and half of their guests) since we were all pretty much kids and so it was loads of fun to see them tie the knot and party with everyone like the good old days.

The previous day did nothing but rain and so we were all delighted when, out of nowhere, we were greeted with a beautiful and bright sunny day.
Great Lodge looked amazing when I arrived.

Sam was getting ready with his Dad and his brother and all three scrubbed up extremely well.

Meanwhile Sarah and her girls (and a very important little man) where all having a lovely and relaxing time getting ready in the bridal suite.

Before we knew it, it was a showtime. I headed over to the ceremony where Sam was eagerly awaiting his beautiful bride.

He didn’t have to wait long though. Sarah, escorted by her very proud Dad, made her entrance and obviously she blew everyone away.

The ceremony was lovely. Fun and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and walk back down the aisle as a family.

The family stroll continued through a very excited confetti line. They were utterly pelted (excellent job by their guests).

We took a nice little stroll around the gorgeous Great Lodge gardens.

The rope swing area was a little too boggy from yesterday’s rain for our happy couple, but the kids loved it.

After the delicious food had been eaten and the speeches expertly delivered (and a last minute hunt for a knife), the cake was cut and a first dance was had!

And then the moment this lot had been waiting for.. PARTY TIME! And it was quite a party.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at Great Lodge for taking such good care of us and for making sure everything ran smoothly.

Thanks too to all of Sarah and Sam’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all and it was great to see so many familiar faces again ❤️
