A Hampton Court House Wedding - Frankie and James

In the beautiful setting of Hampton Court House, and in the sweltering heat, Frankie and James had their big day yesterday. And it was a heck of a day!

Frankie and her girls got ready at Hampton Court House and it was one the calmest and most organised bridal rooms I’ve ever seen. No stress, no panic - just Frankie and her girls having a lovely chilled morning.

Once the dress was on, it was time for the big reveal with Frankie’s Dad.
Obviously she blew him away!

And before we even knew it, it was showtime.

James was waiting for his bride but first we were all treated to something I’ve never seen before. Something wonderful. A FLOWER GUY. It was epic!

Frankie still stole the show though, and James couldn’t help but get a little emotional when he saw her.

The ceremony itself was really lovely and sweet, and all sealed with a big ol’ kiss and then a confetti walk.

Next we had time for some group shots in the grounds of the house.

I was very happy to have a walk around the incredible gardens of Hampton Court House with the happy couple for some pictures. It’s hard to believe that this place is a school. My school certainly didn’t look anything like this.

Soon after that, it was time for the Wedding breakfast and speeches.
Once the food had been eaten and the wine bottles were empty, the band La Grande played the couple’s first dance.

And then, PARTY TIME
And what a party. It mattered not one bit to this lot that it was roasting hot or that it was a Monday night (bet there were a lot of people calling into work sick this morning), these guys partied hard!

Soon enough, it was just about time for me to leave them to it, but not before I stole the couple away for a few night time shots. If you have hired me for your wedding and I ask you to pop outside before I leave for a few nighttime shots, please say yes, because I LOVE creative night shots and I promise it will be worth it!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at Hampton Court House for taking such good care of me. Especially to John and his team for making sure the day went so smoothly.

Thanks too to all of Frankie and James’ lovely guests for making me so welcome.

A Thomas Paine Hotel Wedding - Rebecca and Joe

Finally! Finally these two legends were married.
After two postponements and two years, Rebecca and Joe had their day… and what a day!

Rebecca got ready at their home with her girls and she had all the little details ready for me when I arrived.

Her Dad arrived shortly before it was time to head to the church and, well, the man has the best beard in the history of the world. Anyway, before we knew it, it was time for the big reveal. We gathered her Mum, Dad, Sisters and besties in the living room and then Rebecca made her entrance - it’s fair to say that she blew them away!

Meanwhile, outside the church we had a flower girl and a page boy looking super cute and waiting for the bride. Inside the church, we had Joe - looking sharp and waiting for his bride.

Luckily for them all, Rebecca is a wonderful timekeeper and arrived bang on time and was escorted down the aisle by her very proud Dad.

The ceremony was really lovely and sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ kiss!

Outside the church we had a bit of time for some confetti and some group shots.

And then the happy couple and I headed to some of the scarce shade for a few pictures.

We met back up with the guests at  the Thomas Paine Hotel for some speeches where Rebecca received a very lovely gift from Joe.

By this point, even though the cake had been kept in the cool, it was starting to lean, so it was definitely time to cut it!

After that, we had a first dance and a Dad and daughter dance.

And then, party time! And even though it was 35c, this lot still knew how to party!

And just like that, it was time for me to leave, so I quickly stole the couple away for just a few more minutes as the intense sun had finally sunk low enough to give us some of that good light!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

Huge thanks to all of Rebecca and Joe’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.

A Newland Hall Wedding - Amy and Tom

Well this was a special one for me.
They are all special of course, but Amy and I have been friends for many years. We’ve shot lots of weddings together and make an excellent photography team. So trust me when I say it was an incredible honour to document her and Tom’s big day for them.

They chose the very lovely Newland Hall as their venue.

Amy got ready in the bridal room with her girls.

Meanwhile Tom and the lads were getting ready and enjoying a few beers downstairs. This is a man celebrating heroically saving his mates (and his beer) from a wasp!

Meanwhile, back upstairs, the girls had been joined by Amy’s nephew and very dapper page boy, Zack.

Before long, the dress was on and it was time for Amy’s Dad to see her. It was an emotional and beautiful moment. I always love it when the Dad gets emotional!

And then… Showtime!
Tom was already over at the woodlands ceremony area waiting for his bride.

He didn’t need to wait too long though. Amy was escorted down the aisle by both her Mum and Dad. Tom’s face lit up when he saw her.

The ceremony itself was just lovely. A little emotional and very sweet - just the way it should be.

Quick note to anyone that was a guest - I wouldn’t usually have been on my knees in the aisle for the first kiss, but the roof ledge obstructed their faces and so I needed to be a little less subtle than usual. My apologies if anyone was temporarily blinded by the sun reflecting off of my big bald head!

After the ceremony, they had a confetti exit, which I’m a big fan of.

There was then some drinks and some chit chat, before we found a nice shady spot for some group shots.

And then it was time for me to steal the happy couple away from their guests for 20 minutes to take a little walk around the gardens. By the way, you know you’ve got a wonderful couple when you place them in front of an old barn for a shot and they immediately jump into a Mortal Combat fight stance!

They weren’t all fight poses though - I promise!

I don’t usually post shots from dinner in these little previews, but I thought this one was worth posting. little Zack loved the disposable cameras on the tables - this will be a great shot when the film is developed!

Before long, the food was eaten, the wine was drank and the speeches were spoken. It was time for a first dance…

And then… PARY TIME
And what a party we had.

Lastly, thanks to legendary dress floofer, bridesmaid, and I guess now, photographer, Jess, for this picture of me and my mate on her wedding day ❤️

Huge thanks to all at Newland Hall for taking such good care of me. Especially to Lucy for making sure the day went so smoothly and for being an all round hero!

Thanks too to all of Amy and Tom’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.
