A Wedding at The Reid Rooms - Abi & Matt

This one was a particularly special one for me.
I’ve known Matt and his family since he was in his teens and I had hair - that’s a long time!
So to be there to photograph his wedding to the lovely Abi was a real privilege.

I spent the morning with Abi and her girls at her parents home in Chelmsford and they were all having a wonderful time getting ready, exchanging gifts and chatting.

Before we knew it, it was dress time and things started to feel very real. Abi looked amazing and was ready right on time.

Meanwhile, a very sharp looking Matt was over at St Michael’s church keenly awaiting his beautiful bride.

He didn’t need to wait very long though. Abi and her girls arrived exactly on schedule, a gorgeous string section cover of Here Comes The Sun began playing and the bridesmaids and flowergirls made their way down the aisle. It was showtime!

Shortly after it was Abi’s turn and, escorted by her very proud Dad, she made her way to Matt.

Folks, find yourself someone that looks at you the way Matt looks at Abi.

The ceremony itself was lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle, followed by a thorough confetti pelting by some very excited guests.

We did some group shots in front of the church.

And then we were all off to The Reid Rooms where I immediately stole Abi and Matt for some smoochy pictures!

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered, Abi had a surprise for Matt and their guests. In order to really get the party started and give everyone a good old sing along, she had sneakily hired the Undercover Artists to pose as waiters until the moment came to reveal themselves and to get everyone up off their seats!

Now that everyone was in the mood for a party, it was all over to the dancefloor so that the very newly weds could share their first dance together as a married couple.

And then… PARTY TIME!

But the surprises weren’t done yet. After the bands first set, everyone made their way outside for some epic fireworks.

Right before it was time for me to put the cameras away and shake my considerable booty on the dancefloor, I very quickly nabbed Abi and Matt (and their wedding party) for just a few more pictures.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at The Reid Rooms and St Michael’s church for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks too to the wedding party for all your help, especially with rounding up guests for group shots - and of course - to Becky for her dress floofing skills!

Lastly, thank to all of Abi and Matt’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all.

A Haughley Park Wedding - Sarah & Sam

What a beaut of a day Sarah and Sam had on Saturday. July weather in October at the gorgeous Haughley Park.

Sarah and her girls had a lovely morning getting ready in the farm house and they all looked utterly incredible.

Soon enough it was showtime and Sarah, accompanied by her Dad and her bride squad made their way to the barn…

…where Sam was eagerly awaiting his beautiful bride.

It’s fair to say that Sarah absolutely knocked his socks off.

The ceremony itself was lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle to whoops and applause from some very excited guests.

And then it was a very lively confetti walk for Sarah, Sam and the ever happy Poppy.

Then it was time for the very newlyweds to take a stroll around the very impressive Haughley Park grounds for some photos. Thanks to Ellie for her dress floofing skills.

Soon we were back with the guests for some group shots.

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered, it was time for Sarah and Sam to share their first dance together as a married couple.

And then… PARTY TIME!

I’ll end this little preview with one of my faves from the entire day.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

A Friern Manor Wedding - Nikki & Craig

I love my job so much.
Nikki & Craig had the most amazing wedding at the beautiful Friern Manor yesterday.
Great people, loads of fun, and I really just kinda felt like I was a guest at their awesome day with a couple of cameras in my hands.

Nikki got ready in the bridal room with her squad and they all had the best time laughing and joking and dancing while they got ready.

Before we knew it, it was showtime and Nikki made her way towards the ceremony room.

Meanwhile Craig was awaiting his beautiful bride.

He didn’t need to wait long though. Nikki rocked up right on time and completely knocked his socks off!

The ceremony itself was really lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a fun family photo and a walk back down the aisle and an epic dip kiss to cheers and applause from some very excited guests.

Then for my favourite part of any wedding, but particularly this one. The very newly weds and I took a little stroll around the beautiful Friern Manor grounds to get some gorgeous photos of a gorgeous couple. I mean… check these out!

Then we rejoined their guests for the loudest confetti walk I’ve seen all year.

I guess, knowing these two as I did by this point, I shouldn’t be surprised that the group shots turned into this.

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered it was time for a lovely and romantic first dance…

…which quickly turned into a surprise routine!

And then… PARTY TIME!

We still had time to pop back outside and get this super fun night time photo too!

Honestly, what a day. What a couple. What an amazing bunch of guests!

Did I mention that I love my job?

That’s all for this little preview, folks.
