A Friern Manor Wedding In Autumn

Yesterday at Friern Manor, Hannah and Matt finally got to have their twice postponed big day. 

Things began a little bit frantically as Hannah’s hair and make up overrun a little and she actually arrived at Friern Manor’s bridal suite after most of the guests had already turned up - which wasn’t the plan, but then again, there’s nothing wrong with a little bit of drama on a wedding day!

Matt was ready and, slightly nervously, awaiting her.  

Despite her initial panic, Hannah actually got ready in record time and didn’t even end up keeping him waiting that long. Although before her big arrival, their very dapper son Alex got to walk down the aisle.

And then, without further ado, Hannah made her entrance and Matt got to see his beautiful bride.

The ceremony room at Friern Manor is beautiful and so was  Hannah and Matt’s ceremony. Then before we knew it, we had a husband and wife! 

Between the drinks and the canapes, we lined up all of the guests for a confetti shot.

And of course, the big group shot!

A little story about this next shot; right before we took this, little Alex was trying to play with his Transformers (which looked incredibly fun to be fair), and he was not too keen to take pictures at all, but like a champ he put the toys down, straightened his extremely cool dinosaur tie and came outside looking like the smartest little chap ever. Quite the family picture, I’m sure you’ll agree.

We had caught up on the schedule pretty well, but all the same, we ended up with just 10 minutes before the wedding breakfast to get the couple portraits. The thing is, both Hannah and Matt were so great, that 10 minutes ended up being plenty of time to get some lovely shots!

Hannah really loved the amazing chandeliers at Friern Manor, it was actually one of the reasons they chose it for their wedding, so we had to make sure we included them in a shot or two.

Time flies when you’re having fun and before long everyone was lining the dance floor to watch the happy couple enjoy their first dance.

One of the very best things about having your wedding at Friern Manor is that at night time, the gardens transform into a neon wonder. One of the reasons Hannah and Matt hired me for their wedding was that they had seen some of the night shots I had previously taken at Friern Manor, so I was delighted to take them on a little stroll around the gardens before I said goodbye.
