A Twilight Wedding at Friern Manor - Sarah & Stewart

Autumn is made for Twilight Weddings and Friern Manor is the perfect venue for it, so I knew that Sarah and Stewart’s big day was going to be gorgeous, and of course, I was correct!

Sarah got ready with her girls in the bridal room and it’s no exaggeration to say that she looked incredible!

She was in the very special position to be able to have her own girls as her bridesmaids, which was just perfect. A very good job they did as well.

Before we knew it, it was showtime, and a very nervous Stewart was awaiting his beautiful bride.

He didn’t have to wait long though, the girls arrived right on time, looking amazing and it’s fair to say that Stewart had his socks well and truly knocked off! 

The ceremony itself was lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle to whoops and applause from some very excited guests.

Because we were experiencing biblical rain, instead of taking photos in the waterlogged gardens, we stayed behind in the ceremony room to get these beauties.

Eventually the rain did the decent thing and held off long enough for us to get everyone outside for the confetti shot that we had to quite literally take a rain check on earlier in the day.

As the guests mingled they were treated to the rarest of sights (and more importantly, sounds). Both of Friern Manor’s exceptionally talented pianists performed together for a little while. I’ve seen Paul and Claire perform individually plenty of times, but it was really quite magical to see them play together.

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered, it was time for the very newlyweds to enjoy their first dance together as a married couple.

And then… PARTY TIME!

Right before it was time for me to leave them all to it, I stole Sarah and Stewart away for just a few more minutes for a few night time photos.
