A Wedding At Stoke Place - Lauren & Alan

Lauren and Alan had the most beautiful day at Stoke Place yesterday.
There was laughter, there were tears, there was a little smooching and a lot of dancing. And there was plenty of sunshine!

Fun fact, Alan and I used to work for the same company years ago and even though we’ve been in contact now and then since, the first time I’d seen him in all that time was yesterday when he was waiting at the end of the aisle for his beautiful bride.
It was so great to see him and have a (very brief) catch up while he waited for Lauren to arrive. We had a proper catch up a bit later on, but it was time for a wedding ceremony to happen so I gave him a good luck hug and got into position for Lauren’s big entrance.
It’s safe to say she knocked his socks off!

The ceremony itself was really lovely. Short and sweet and all sealed with a big kiss and a walk back down the aisle to cheers and applause from all of their guests.

After the ceremony I took a little walk with the very newly weds around the gorgeous grounds at Stoke Place to get some photos.

Soon enough it was time for the Wedding Breakfast and these two made the best entrance I’ve seen in years!

After all the food had been eaten, the speeches had been expertly delivered and many drinks had been enjoyed, Lauren and Alan had a surprise waiting for their guests. Who doesn’t love ice cream? And ever the gent, Alan hopped into the truck and served his gorgeous bride.

All of the kids (and big kids) had a great time too.

The fun was far from over. The bouquet toss was epic and despite looking beautiful and graceful, some of those girls in there could definitely play American Football. What a catch!

The first dance followed shortly after and just as I thought this wedding couldn’t get any better, they had their dance to a Bryan Adams song!

And then the moment this lot had been waiting for… PARTY TIME!

Right before I left them all to it, I took Lauren and Alan outside again for just a few minutes to take one or two dusk pictures.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at Stoke Place for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran smoothly.
Special thanks to Patrick who was a legend all day long.

Thanks too to all of Lauren and Alan’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all!
