An Old Kent Barn Wedding

Katie & Sam had quite the day in the autumn sunshine at Old Kent Barn on Thursday.
Katie’s bridal room was packed with her ten (yes ten!) bridesmaids, her Mum and her very soon to be Mother-in-law, plus all the make up and hair people. It was cramped but wonderful and the girls had a great time getting ready.

Right before showtime, we were joined by Katie’s Dad who couldn’t help but get a bit emotional.

And then it was time! 
It was a really lovely ceremony, complete with an autumnal tree decoration which I thought was brilliant - plus a confetti walk out which I’m always a big fan of!

If there is access to an upper floor window, then an aerial group shot is a must!

Now remember how I told you that Katie had ten bridesmaids? Well they also all had personalised denim jackets - how cool is this?

And the Mums got in on the denim jacket action too!

The Old Kent Barn is a pretty great venue to take the couple on a little photo walk.

Now, these two do things in style, so they didn’t just ‘do’ a first dance - they PERFORMED one! They entertained their guests with an absolutely glorious few minutes that would have been at home on Strictly.

And then of course it was time for Katie and her Dad to enjoy little dance too.

As if they hadn’t already had enough fun with their guests, after the dances it was all outside for some sparklers! 

…And then before everyone got too chilly, back inside for a silent disco! There is something wonderfully entertaining about watching people throw shapes when you cannot hear the music.

It all seemed to go in the blink of an eye, but just like that, it was time to leave Katie and Sam to party into the small hours - but not before a few night time shots.
