Fahmeeda & Thomas

Okay, folks strap yourself in because this one is going to be long one!
You see, Fahmeeda and Thomas had two special days as their two families, two cultures and two sets of beautiful people all came together - and it was beautiful and a privilege to be a part of.

So let’s start on Friday in London.
This is where they had the religious ceremony and although there are no photos allowed there, I met them shortly after to get some beautiful photos before they had a celebratory feast with there nearest and dearest.

We found a little green park among the west London hubbub took a little stroll around it taking photos as we went. I was so excited when I saw their outfits - how vibrant and eye catching is that red and black together!?

In typical ‘April in the UK’ style, we experienced four seasons in about 45 minutes so as the rain began, we dashed under some trees to keep everyone dry.

And then as quickly as it started, the rain made way for some gorgeous late evening, hazy sunshine and so we made the most of that too.

As the clouds stole the sun we headed over to the The Royal Nawaab to join their families and there are plenty of pictures from there (and lots more from this lovely little park shoot too) coming in a few weeks with the full gallery, but for the purposes of this little preview, it’s time to move on to Sunday where I spent a much longer time with them over at Gosfield Hall in Essex.

The sun came out for them again and the venue looked utterly wonderful.

I made my way up to the Roccoco suite, surely the most beautiful bridal room ever, to meet up with Fahmeeda as she was getting hair and makeup done.

Obviously she looked stunning and was enjoying the build up, especially when Thomas and his boys gathered outside her window and announced (very loudly) that they had gifts for the bride before bringing them up stairs and handing them to the bridesmaids - while the whole time the bride kept hidden out of his view. Super fun!

The girls continued to get ready as the ceremony approached, and as it all came together, it became very clear just how colourful and beautiful this wedding was going to be!

And then just like that, it was showtime! We headed down for the ceremony and it was just gorgeous. Short and sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ kiss and a confetti walk back down the aisle.

Outside, it was sunny but a little chilly and Gosfield Hall was looking great - the weather was actually perfect for photographs and everyone looked AMAZING!

After all the delicious food had been eaten and the speeches expertly delivered, it was time for these two legends to enjoy their first dance - and cheered on by their very excited guests, they smashed it!

Immediately after the first dance, Fahmeeda’s sisters treated us to a very special dance of their own.

Now, I had the pleasure of photographing Thomas’ sister’s wedding last year and so I knew from experience that these guys were ready to party - and my goodness they did not disappoint!

Turns out all that partying is tiring!

Right before I left them all to finish tearing the dance floor up, I stole the happy couple away for just a few more minutes to get some night time photos, so let me end this little preview with this beauty!

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at Gosfield Hall for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran smoothly. Special thanks to Jocie who was an absolute star!

Thanks too to all of Fahmeeda and Thomas’ wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all ❤️
Special thank to Nousheen and Sophie for getting all the guests together for group shots and for their excellent work for the ‘veil in the wind’ shot.
