Like so many couples, Sarah and Rory had to wait 2 years for their big day - but when it finally arrived, it was worth every day of the long wait.
Sarah arrived excitedly at Pembroke Lodge to the sound of bagpipes.
Meanwhile, Rory was inside awaiting the arrival of his Bride.
Sarah didn’t make him wait too long though. As all of their guests stood to their feet, she appeared along with her very proud Dad.
The Ceremony itself was really sweet and of course, it was sealed with a kiss - and then a good old fashioned confetti walk.
We headed outside for some pictures and some drinks and some celebration poses!
And then I stole the couple away for 20 minutes for some pictures too.
Before we even knew it, the Wedding Breakfast had been eaten, the speeches had been spoken and it was time for Sarah and Rory’s first dance!
The live music continued and the party got going! We had a singer and a guitarist and just when all the guests thought the surprises were over, out popped a saxophonist - what a party!
Before leaving Sarah and Rory to party long into the night, they were very happy to quickly pop outside with me for just a few more shots.
That’s all for this little sneak peek, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to Laura and all at Pembroke Lodge for taking such good care of me and for making sure the day went smoothly.
Thanks too to all of Sarah and Rory’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.
I’m always a fan of a couple that makes the most of a bank holiday weekend by getting married on a Sunday. Yesterday was the perfect day for it and Victoria and Lorenzo had a wedding to remember.
Victoria and her girls got ready in the Retreat at Channels.
She was surrounded by her and Lorenzo’s Mums, her bridesmaids and little Emilia, the cutest flower girl.
Victoria was relaxed and chilled and was ready right on time. She made quite the entrance… and made her girls cry!
And then it was time for her Dad to get the big reveal, and she made him cry too!
And well, her girls got emotional again too!
Meanwhile over in the main barn, Lorenzo was awaiting his turn, flanked by his two best men.
It wasn’t too long before Victoria made her big entrance, escorted by a very proud Dad. And yep - you guessed it. She made Lorenzo cry too!
It was a lovely ceremony and before we knew it, it was smooch time!
After the ceremony we made our way out of the barn for a big group shot. Future bridesmaids should take note - look at the teamwork of these girls!
Then I stole the happy couple away for a few shots in the sun drenched gardens.
The speeches were excellent. All 3 were funny, sweet and entertaining, although it was the arrival of a very special guest that stole the show…
That’s right, Lorenzo surprised Victoria by arranging for their (super cute) dog to join them!
So it was straight back to the garden for some more lovely pictures!
Before we even knew it, it was time for the first dance. Any couple that chooses a John Lennon song for their first dance has excellent taste!
And then… PARTY!
That’s all for this little sneak peek, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to Molly and all at Channels Estate for taking such good care of us and for making sure the day went smoothly.
Thanks too to all of Victoria and Lorenzo’s wonderful guests for making us so welcome and to little Emilia for all the high fives!
I’ve heard it said 100 times that if you get married in April, you are risking April showers.
Well, the sunburn on my bald head this morning suggests that, for Rebecca and Michael, the risk paid off.
Their special day was bathed in sunshine all day - barely a cloud in the sky.
And let me tell you, Parklands, Quendon Hall looks amazing in the sunshine!
Rebecca and her girls got ready in the Bridal Rooms with the help of the artist that is Adrienne from Hair And Makeup With Dren
There were no real nerves on show until a letter from Michael turned up, and it all got a little emotional.
The tears didn’t last too long though and it was just as well because soon it was dress time!
Rebecca was helped into her dress by Maid of Honour (and later, Chief Dress Floofer) Zoe, before the big reveal with the Bridesmaids, Sarah and Kayleigh.
Meanwhile, Michael was waiting outside in front of all of their guests, awaiting his turn for the big reveal.
He didn’t have to wait too long though, as before we knew it, Rebecca, escorted by her very proud Dad, made her big entrance.
And, yep - it got a little emotional again!
The ceremony was beautiful and sweet and very sunny - and was all sealed with a big ol’ kiss!
And just like that, there was a married couple dancing their way back up the aisle - followed by an epic and excited group shot of them and all of their guests (big thanks to Kael for his organisational skills!)
Then it was time for some shots of the very happy couple.
With some top dress floofing by Zoe, some quick dashing around the gardens in the heat, and avoiding one very angry goose, we got all of these lovely shots (plus loooads more still to come) in just over 15 minutes.
Soon enough, the wedding breakfast had been eaten, the speeches had been spoken, and it was time for a first dance (followed by a Dad and Daughter then a Mum and Son dance too).
And then - Party Time!
I have so many pictures from the party, but these are just a few of my faves.
Just before it was time for me to leave, I stole Rebecca and Michael away for just a few night shots, and well, it was totally worth it!
That’s all for this little sneak peek, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to Fiona and her super organised and efficient team at Parklands Quendon Hall for taking such good care of us and for making sure the day went smoothly.
Thanks too to all of Rebecca and Michael’s wonderful guests for making us so welcome.
Oh, and for any Americans reading this, I apologise for the English spelling of some of the words - you guys use way too many Z’s (Zeds) though!
Huge congratulations to the very happy couple and thanks for having me at your special day.
