A Gaynes Park Wedding - Chloe & Richard

What an incredible day Chloe and Richard had at the lovely Gaynes Park in Epping yesterday.

Chloe and her girls (plus one special little man) got ready in the Bridal Cottage and they had a really nice, relaxed morning together.

Before long it was time for Chloe’s Dad to come and see her. He did the decent thing and had a little cry.

And then we had an excited little walk to the ceremony at the Orangery.

Then right on schedule, it was show time. First of all, Chloe’s bridesmaids led the way and then Chloe was escorted by her very proud Dad.

The ceremony itself was short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch!

After the ceremony all of their guests were very excited to pelt Chloe and Richard with confetti!

Then, in a successful effort to beat the rain, Chloe, Richard and I took a little stroll around the Gaynes Park gardens for some pictures.

We then headed back to the guests for some group shots.

A lot of times people ask me what I mean when I talk about natural photos at a wedding, and this is a really good example. During the group shots, Chloe’s parents took a little stroll and I saw this out of the corner my eye. They have no idea (until they see this blog) that I took this shot, but it’s one of my favourites from the day.

Soon enough, the speeches had been spoken, the food had been eaten and the quiz had been won.
It was time for Chloe and Richard’s first dance.

And then… PARTY TIME
Chloe and Richard had arranged for a traditional Ceilidh with the excellent Licence to Ceilidh band, and their guests loved it!

Right before I left, as usual, I asked the happy couple if they wanted to pop outside for a night time shot. It was raining heavily and it was windy too, so I didn’t expect them to say yes, but both Chloe and Richard were immediately willing and I finally got to take the night time rain shot that I’ve been wishing for for years!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at Gaynes Park for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran so smoothly. Special thanks to Natasha for running such a smooth show!

Thanks too to all of Chloe and Richard’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. A fantastic bunch of people.

A Tithe Barn Wedding - Lizzie & Alex

What a great day Lizzie and Alex had on Saturday at Tithe Barn in Box Hill.

Lizzie got ready with her squad at the hotel. They had a great morning, chatting and joking while Holly at HL London worked her magic with the hair and make-up. When it was dress time, Maid of Honour (and all round legend) Megan helped Lizzie into the dress.
Honestly, how great did Lizzie look?

Then just like that, it was showtime!
There ceremony itself was short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch!

For what felt like the first time in weeks, it barely rained all day and so we made the most of the beautiful garden area at Tithe Barn.

Before we even knew it, the wedding breakfast had been eaten and the speeches had been spoken. It was time for a beautiful first dance.

And then… PARTY TIME

My favourite thing about photographing weddings at Tithe Barn is the incredible night shots.
I always try to sneak my couples away for 5 minutes at night time for a shot or two, so I was delighted when Lizzie and Alex agreed to pop outside with me.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

Huge thanks to all at Tithe Barn for taking such good care of us and for making sure everything ran so smoothly. Special thanks to Eleanor for running such a smooth show!

Thanks too to all of Lizzie and Alex’s wonderful guests for making us so welcome. Especially to best men Tom and Sam who were immensely helpful when we needed to hunt people down for the group shots.

An Old Thorns Wedding - Anja & Mark

What an amazing day Anja and Mark had at Old Thorns yesterday.

I joined Anja and her besties in the morning at one of the apartments at Old Thorns. I knew everything would go smoothly because Anja is the most organised human I’ve ever met and I was double certain when I walked in and saw everyone was right on schedule.
Anja had Olivia Mills on hair and make up duty and, like Anja, Olivia get’s things done!

So there was no rushing and no panicking. Just a super fun time with lots of love and laughter.

Soon enough, it was dress time and Anja was expertly helped into it by her crew. It’s fair to say that her Dad was suitably blown away!

And then a very dapper little man, and very pretty little lady joined us just in time for some pre wedding pictures.

Before we knew it, it was showtime!
The ceremony was beautiful, emotional and just lovely. We had some wonderful readings by the Mums, a few tears here and there, and it was all sealed with a big ol’ smooch!

Then some more wedding magic happened - the rain stopped!
For long enough to get outside with Anja and Mark (and a couple of little legends) for some pictures.

It did then rain again, however. But not to worry, because during the Wedding Breakfast the rain cleared again and a really great sunset appeared and Anja and Mark were happy to let me take them outside for 2 minutes.

Before too long, the food had been eaten and the speeches had been spoken. So it was PARTY TIME!

Hands up if you had the best time at Anja and Mark’s wedding!
