A Trunkwell House Wedding - Cori & Critta

What an amazing day Cori and Critta had at Trunkwell House on Saturday.

From the moment I first spoke to these two, I knew for sure that their wedding was going to be so much fun - and it was!

Cori got ready at her parent’s house and had the most relaxing and fun morning just laughing and joking with her girls while singing along with her epic playlist.

Before too long, it was showtime and we all made our way to Christ Church in Flackwell Heath where a very dapper Critta was awaiting his bride.

Ever the organiser, Cori arrived right on time and made her big entrance. It’s fair to say that she knocked Critta’s socks off!

The ceremony itself was really beautiful and fun and was all sealed with a big ol’ smooch!

And then it was out into the sunshine where the newlyweds were completely pelted with confetti by their eager guests - that stuff got everywhere!

After a lot of congratulations and hugs, Cori and Critta jumped in the wedding car and headed off to the beautiful Trunkwell House so we could take some pictures before their guests arrived there.

Soon after, the guests arrived too and it was time for some group shots and some shot shots!

As the evening drew in and the food had been eaten, the speeches had been spoken and a fair few beverages had been drank, it was time for the most risky cake cutting I’ve ever seen. The cheesecake was a little wobbly and a little wibbly but they got the job done - just!

Right after the cake cutting Cori and Critta shared a lovely first dance together.

And then… PARTY TIME

Just before it was time for me to leave them to it, I asked Cori and Critta if they wanted to take a few night time pictures before I left. I’m very happy that they said yes because look at these…

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at Trunkwell House and Christ Church Flackwell Heath, for taking such good care of us and for making sure everything ran so smoothly. Special thanks to Sophie at Trunkwell for running such a smooth show!

Thanks too to all of Cori and Critta’s wonderful guests for making us so welcome. A fantastic bunch of people - I had a great time!

A Winters Barn Wedding - Emma & Sam

Photographing a Wedding at Winters Barns in Canterbury: Emma and Sam’s Big Day

Emma and Sam’s beautiful Thursday wedding at Winters Barns in Canterbury was a day to remember. As a photographer, I was there to capture every moment of this special occasion.

Like the emotional moment when Emma’s father saw her all dressed up and ready. It was a sight to behold. It’s fair to say she blew him away (and ever the gent, he did the decent thing and had a little cry!)

And he wasn’t the only one impressed with Emma - check out the look on this little lady.

Before we knew it, it was showtime. Sam was keenly awaiting his bride over at the barn, but first Emma’s girls got to proceed her down the aisle - and they all looked amazing and did an incredible job.

And then it was Emma’s turn. Obviously she knocked Sam’s socks off when he laid eyes on her.

The ceremony itself was short, sweet and really rather lovely (save for the moment where I dropped my GoPro on the floor making a big old racket - DOH!)

After the ceremony we had roughly 2 minutes before the rain was due, so with the help of wedding coordinator and all round legend Sally (to use her full name), the guests were rushed outside for the confetti shot, and they absolutely pelted the newlyweds - it was excellent!

And then, between short showers (by that I mean it was raining - not that we all nipped off for a quick shower), I managed to take a stroll around the beautiful Winters Barns gardens with the Bride and Groom to take some incredible photos.

After the Wedding Breakfast we were treated to 3 excellent speeches that each had funny and emotional elements to them and kept the guests well entertained.

After the speeches it actually turned into a beautiful little rainless moment outside for the guests to enjoy the gardens.

Soon enough, the evening guests had arrived and it was time for Emma and Sam to enjoy a lovely first dance together.

And then… PARTY TIME

Hands up if you had the best time at Emma and Sam’s Wedding!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

A Gaynes Park Wedding - Chloe & Richard

What an incredible day Chloe and Richard had at the lovely Gaynes Park in Epping yesterday.

Chloe and her girls (plus one special little man) got ready in the Bridal Cottage and they had a really nice, relaxed morning together.

Before long it was time for Chloe’s Dad to come and see her. He did the decent thing and had a little cry.

And then we had an excited little walk to the ceremony at the Orangery.

Then right on schedule, it was show time. First of all, Chloe’s bridesmaids led the way and then Chloe was escorted by her very proud Dad.

The ceremony itself was short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch!

After the ceremony all of their guests were very excited to pelt Chloe and Richard with confetti!

Then, in a successful effort to beat the rain, Chloe, Richard and I took a little stroll around the Gaynes Park gardens for some pictures.

We then headed back to the guests for some group shots.

A lot of times people ask me what I mean when I talk about natural photos at a wedding, and this is a really good example. During the group shots, Chloe’s parents took a little stroll and I saw this out of the corner my eye. They have no idea (until they see this blog) that I took this shot, but it’s one of my favourites from the day.

Soon enough, the speeches had been spoken, the food had been eaten and the quiz had been won.
It was time for Chloe and Richard’s first dance.

And then… PARTY TIME
Chloe and Richard had arranged for a traditional Ceilidh with the excellent Licence to Ceilidh band, and their guests loved it!

Right before I left, as usual, I asked the happy couple if they wanted to pop outside for a night time shot. It was raining heavily and it was windy too, so I didn’t expect them to say yes, but both Chloe and Richard were immediately willing and I finally got to take the night time rain shot that I’ve been wishing for for years!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.
