A Winter Wedding at The Windmill, Burford - Becky & Andrew

Becky and Andrew had the most incredible day on Saturday in the frosty chill of winter.

I find winter weddings to be incredibly romantic and magical, especially when the couple are happy to brave the cold and spend a bit of time outside - and these two most certainly were!

I met up with Becky and her crew nice and early at Westhall Barn, where they were getting ready. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and everyone was in good spirits.

Soon, it was dress time and while Becky was getting buttoned in, her girls were waiting for her in the next room ready for the big reveal. It’s fair to say that she took their breath away!

Soon after we hit the frosty road and headed to St Mary & St Nicholas Church in Littlemore for the ceremony. By the time Becky arrived the car had a little extra detail added.

Andrew was inside excitedly awaiting his bride. He didn’t need to wait too long before Becky made her entrance and knocked his socks off!

The ceremony itself was full of joy and love. All sealed with a kiss and a stroll back down the aisle to whoops, cheers and huge applause.

Then we all had some much needed tea, coffee and cake and took some pictures in the church grounds.

After that, we left the church to confetti and checkered flags and we were all off to The Windmill in Burford for the reception.

While the guests all warmed themselves by the heaters inside, I kept Becky and Andrew out in the crisp afternoon just a little bit longer for some pictures in the frosty scenery.

Back inside and some very talented members of the wedding party were entertaining everyone with beautiful music.

After the food was eaten and the speeches spoken, it was time for a first dance in front of the Christmas tree. As a special surprise, Becky had professionally recorded their first dance song - and let me tell you, she can really sing!

Just as I was leaving I caught some cheeky groomsmen graffitiing Becky and Andrew’s car. For the new Mr and Mrs Morrey ‘Just Morried!’

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

What a day for the most wonderful and lovely couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at The Windmill for taking such good care of us.

Thanks too to all of Becky and Andrew’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome.
Special shout out to Hayley and Josh for essentially becoming my assistants at certain points of the day!

A Wedding at The Darenth - Lauren and Charlie

Yesterday, at the beautiful venue that is The Darenth in Kent, Lauren and Charlie had the most wonderful wedding day.
Here are just a few highlights of what was a day absolutely full of them.

Lauren and her girls got ready just a couple of miles away in the Darent Hulme Barn and the spent morning relaxing and laughing.

Not only was it one of the most relaxed bridal rooms I’ve seen, they were all ready well ahead of time too, which left us some time for pictures. Check out Lauren’s dress, by the way!

Before we knew it, we were over at The Darenth and it was showtime. The ceremony was really lovely, fun and sweet - and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch!

After the ceremony we had some time for confetti, some group shots and a game of peek-a-boo!

Afterwards I stole the happy couple away for 10 minutes or so for some pictures (big thanks to Amy for her world class dress floofing skills!)

The day ran smoothly and perfectly to schedule and so we were right on time for the first dance and the dad and daughter dance (complete with a little air-sax from Lauren’s Dad)

And then it was time for a massive party. And this lot needed no encouragement to tear up the dancefloor!

My personal favourite shot of the day though, is this little beauty. I love it.

Hands up if you had the best time at Lauren and Charlie’s wedding!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

What a day and what a party for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at The Darenth, especially Jason, for taking such good care of me and making sure the day ran so smoothly. It was hugely appreciated.

Thanks too to all of Lauren and Charlie’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.

A Swynford Manor Wedding - Chantelle and Grant

Chantelle and Grant were the only couple I’ve ever had that actually wanted almost purely documentary style photos of their wedding. No group shots, no posed shots and almost no couple pictures either.

Their day was about fun and partying and that’s exactly what they got.

Chantelle got ready with her girls in the bridal suite.

After a lovely morning chatting and laughing, it was showtime!

Chantelle was proceeded down the aisle by her bride squad (and their son Freddie who enjoyed his moment in the spotlight).

And then… Chantelle made her big appearance. Needless to say that she completely knocked Grant’s socks off!

The ceremony itself was short and very sweet. And quite funny too, in the moments that Freddie got involved. Just perfect :)

Swynford Manor offers an opportunity for a very unique confetti shot. All of the guests line the stairway in the main entrance and then shower confetti down on the couple like a colourful snowstorm! Just beautiful.

In the slot where we would usually do group shots, these two legends just wanted to hang out with their guests and have a good time. The kids wanted to have a bit of fun too.

I did get Chantelle and Grant outside for a few minutes for some romantic shots, but after three, they both decided that was enough and wanted to rejoin the fun. Absolutely fair enough, they said they didn’t want all the usual wedding shots and they meant it!

After dinner, it was first dance time and even that was all about fun.

And then, it was time for something this lot had been waiting for all day… PARTY TIME!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

What a day and what a party for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at Swynford Manor for taking such good care of me.

Thanks too to all of Chantelle and Grant’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.
