Well, what a wonderful day Lily-Rose and Robert had yesterday.
If you know me, you’ll know that I love weddings that stray from the ordinary, and this was definitely one of those.
Firstly, instead of hiring a venue they used Lily-Rose’s grandparent’s farm - although, if your grandparent’s have a place like this, why wouldn’t you!?
I’ve never had a bride arrive in the back of an open top Land Rover before but it was incredible!
Talk about arriving in style…
And this little man was keenly awaiting her.
And he wasn’t the only one!
Lily-Rose was running about 20 minutes late (bride’s prerogative) and Robert was getting a bit nervous.
He’s grinning in this picture because he knew I was waiting outside for her arrival, so when I came back into the church, he could stop checking his watch and relax - his bride was here!
And she was excited to get to him.
The ceremony was really lovely and sweet and before long, we had husband and wife!
Then it was back to the farm for some fun. There was a total of 6 tractors, 2 classic cars and a classic lorry escorting the bride and groom through the country lanes and it was quite a sight!
Back on the farm, Lily-Rose and Robert took me on a little walk around the grounds. It was one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve ever worked at.
And because the Land Rover had played such a big part in the day, why not include it in the pictures?
There was lots of fun to be had on the farm for the guests - this is the face of a man who was sure he’d hit a hole in one only to see it bounce out again!
There were toy tractors and real tractors.
And the bride decided to pop on her boots and get involved too!
We still had time for few more lovely bride shots before it was time for me to leave.
And it’s only right we got the groom involved for one last shot too…
There are sooo many more amazing shots from this wedding, but I can only include a handful in these little sneak peeks.
So if you were one of the (very awesome) guests that gave me a round of applause as I left, then you only have to wait about 4 weeks before Lily-Rose and Robert will have their full gallery and video to share with you.
I’ll leave you with this picture though - if you’re getting married on a farm, you have to share your day with all kinds of things. Including the spiders!
That’s all for this little sneak peek, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to all of Lily-Rose and Robert’s guests who so great to me all day and made me feel so welcome. A truly wonderful bunch.
Well, after many set backs and reschedules, on Monday Tania and Mark finally had their big day.
And what a day!
They were married at the beautiful Crondon Park in Stock.
Mark was nervous and emotional as he waited for his lovely, very soon to be wife.
But Tania didn’t keep him waiting for long.
Then finally, in front of all their nearest and dearest, these two legends finally tied the knot… And sealed it with a proper kiss!
After the ceremony, the kids were keen to goof around a little.
And they weren’t the only ones!
How about this for a family photo?
Tania didn’t want to be away from their guests for too long but we did get 15 minutes to take a short walk around some of Crondon Park to get these shots.
And this one, which I think is my personal favourite shot of the whole day.
Before long it was time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches. This is what it looks like when the Best Man lands a zinger during his speech!
The evening soon came and it was time for Tania and Mark to have their first dance while their guests whooped and cheered.
And then… Party time!
Some dance moves are so big that they can’t even fit into the frame!
This is what happened when these two crazies realised that my camera flashes worked remotely!
And just like that, it was time for me to leave Tania and Mark with their guests, but what a day it had been.
That’s all for this little sneak peek, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Big thanks to all at Crondon Park and to all of Tania and Mark’s lovely guests for making me feel so welcome and taking such good care of me.
Mostly though, huge congratulations to Tania and Mark.
Natalie and Jonathan were originally scheduled to get married on Christmas Eve last year and got to within 3 days of the wedding… and then Boris pulled the plug.
Thankfully though, on Friday, at the very impressive Islington Town Hall, their wait came to an end and these two legends finally tied the knot!
The day began at The Hilton Hotel in Islington where Natalie and her girls were getting ready, enjoying a few glasses of bubbly and having a lovely time.
As the dress went on things got a little emotional and Natalie’s Mum was taking it all in.
With Jonathan and all of the guests in the hotel bar, and the girls in their dresses ready, it was almost time for the bride to make her big entrance. Not before her Dad came up to the room to escort her down though. It’s fair to say that he was blown away by the sight of Natalie in her dress.
And then it was time, all eyes were on Natalie as she made her big entrance.
And Jonathan was delighted to see his beautiful bride.
At these moments, I also like to focus on the guests as well as the couple. Look at these three reactions!
Soon enough, it was go time and we were at Islington Town Hall. Natalie was escorted down the aisle by her very proud Dad and greeted by her even prouder groom.
The ceremony was very sweet and emotional - and sealed with a kiss!
Then just like that, we had ourselves a married couple.
Natalie, Jonathan and their guests posed for pictures on the stairs outside the Town Hall.
One of the joys (and challenges) about city weddings is that you’re usually taking pictures in busy, traffic heavy areas. You don’t often have a great deal of control over your surroundings and that can make it challenging to get the shots you wanted for the couple. However, what an opportunity for some unique, creative shots. Natalie and Jonathan wanted an urban city vibe to their pictures and chose Islington Fire station as a location for their couple’s shots.
I thought it would be great to incorporate a famous London red bus in one of the shots but something more interesting than just taking a picture of them by a bus. So as I was stood on the opposite side of the street I slowed the shutter speed on my camera down and waited for a bus to drive through. As the bus was right in the middle of the scene I took the shot. The slow shutter speed meant that the moving bus was blurred and the stationary couple remained sharp and in focus through the window of the bus.
I really like this shot!
Soon we were at the last venue for the day. The Boundary rooftop bar in Shoreditch…
…Where the drinks kept flowing.
Right before it was time for me to leave, there was a lovely sunset over the rooftops of East London so I quickly stole Natalie and Jonathan away from their guests one more time for a quick sunset shot.
That’s all for this little sneak peek, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Big congratulations to Natalie and Jonathan and thanks to all of their wonderful guests for taking care of me all day and for being great fun to spend a day with (especially Natalie’s Mum Christina who even toasted me at the end of the night - that’s never happened to me before!)
