A Friern Manor Wedding - Zoe & Ricky

What an amazing day Zoe and Ricky had yesterday at the beautiful Friern Manor.
These two weren’t going to let a rainy day spoil their wedding and it was a pleasure to be there to capture it for them.

Zoe got ready with her bride squad in the bridal room and they had a lovely morning together.

Meanwhile, Ricky was nervously awaiting his beautiful bride. He didn’t need to wait long though, Zoe was right on time and obviously she completely knocked his socks off!

The ceremony itself was lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle to whoops and applause from some very excited guests.

Because we were experiencing biblical rain, instead of taking photos in the waterlogged gardens, we stayed behind in the ceremony room to get these beauties.

Friern Manor is so well prepared for wet weather that they actually have an indoor garden - so group shots were a breeze and everyone stayed dry.

And when there was a little break in the rain, we got to go outside to play with the reflections.

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered, the rain had held off long enough for us to get everyone outside for the confetti shot that we had to quite literally take a rain check on earlier in the day.

Aannnnd then the rain returned with a vengeance, but that’s okay, I’m quite fond of a rainy wedding evening because it allows for photos like this one.

Oh and by the way, how cool was their cake!?

Before we knew it, it was time for Zoe and Ricky to enjoy their first dance together as a married couple.

And then… PARTY TIME!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at Friern Manor for taking such good care of me as always, and for making sure everything ran smoothly. Special thanks to Jordan and Jo.

Thanks too to all of Zoe and Ricky’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all.

A Twilight Wedding at Friern Manor - Stacey & Dwaine

A crisp October evening is perfect for a twilight wedding at the beautiful Friern Manor, and that’s exactly what Stacey and Dwaine got yesterday.
The venue looked great, the couple looked stunning and the guests came to party - it was amazing!

I arrived at the same time as Dwaine, he was looking sharp and a little nervous, but he was ready to roll!

Stacey was upstairs in the bridal suite, looking beautiful and ready to marry her man. She got ready with her Mum, Nan and of course their little daughter Nyah - the cutest guest at the wedding by far!

As showtime approached, it was time for Stacey’s Dad to see her in her dress all ready to go. He reacted perfectly - well done Dad!

And then the moment was upon us. To beautiful violin music courtesy of Rachel Somerset, the bridal party appeared and it’s fair to say that Stacey completely knocked Dwaine’s socks off!

The ceremony itself was lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle to whoops and applause from some very excited guests.

Then it was time for the very newly weds to have a little walk around the beautiful Friern Manor grounds with me for their couple photos.

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered, it was time for Stacey and Dwaine to share their first dance together as a married couple - joined by the lovely Nyah of course.

And then… PARTY TIME! And what a party it was.

Right before it was time for me to leave them all to it, I stole Stacey and Dwaine away for just a few more minutes for a few night time photos.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

Hands up if you had an amazing time at Stacey and Dwaine’s wedding!

A Wedding at The Reid Rooms - Abi & Matt

This one was a particularly special one for me.
I’ve known Matt and his family since he was in his teens and I had hair - that’s a long time!
So to be there to photograph his wedding to the lovely Abi was a real privilege.

I spent the morning with Abi and her girls at her parents home in Chelmsford and they were all having a wonderful time getting ready, exchanging gifts and chatting.

Before we knew it, it was dress time and things started to feel very real. Abi looked amazing and was ready right on time.

Meanwhile, a very sharp looking Matt was over at St Michael’s church keenly awaiting his beautiful bride.

He didn’t need to wait very long though. Abi and her girls arrived exactly on schedule, a gorgeous string section cover of Here Comes The Sun began playing and the bridesmaids and flowergirls made their way down the aisle. It was showtime!

Shortly after it was Abi’s turn and, escorted by her very proud Dad, she made her way to Matt.

Folks, find yourself someone that looks at you the way Matt looks at Abi.

The ceremony itself was lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle, followed by a thorough confetti pelting by some very excited guests.

We did some group shots in front of the church.

And then we were all off to The Reid Rooms where I immediately stole Abi and Matt for some smoochy pictures!

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered, Abi had a surprise for Matt and their guests. In order to really get the party started and give everyone a good old sing along, she had sneakily hired the Undercover Artists to pose as waiters until the moment came to reveal themselves and to get everyone up off their seats!

Now that everyone was in the mood for a party, it was all over to the dancefloor so that the very newly weds could share their first dance together as a married couple.

And then… PARTY TIME!

But the surprises weren’t done yet. After the bands first set, everyone made their way outside for some epic fireworks.

Right before it was time for me to put the cameras away and shake my considerable booty on the dancefloor, I very quickly nabbed Abi and Matt (and their wedding party) for just a few more pictures.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

Huge thanks to all at The Reid Rooms and St Michael’s church for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran smoothly. Thanks too to the wedding party for all your help, especially with rounding up guests for group shots - and of course - to Becky for her dress floofing skills!

Lastly, thank to all of Abi and Matt’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all.
