A Wedding at The Hare’s Field - Richard & Elliot

The Hare’s Field is my kind of venue. A beautiful little barn venue that also has some rooms so people can stay. If you book your wedding there, you get the venue for the entire weekend - there’s something quite special about that.

Richard and Elliot are my kind of couple. Fun and relaxed. They gave me a group shot list of just 5 pictures - the most beautiful group shot list I’ve ever seen! When I left their wedding I told them they were one of my all time favourite couples. When I got home and gave my wife the bottles of wine they had given me at the end of the day, she said that they were in fact, her number one all time favourite couple that I’ve photographed 🤣

So it’s fair to say that Saturday was my kind of wedding.

The weather was unkind to say the least but it didn’t bring the mood down even a tiny amount. These two and all of their guests, were all about having fun and celebrating and a little rain wasn’t going to stop them.

As all of the guests took their seats and watched the two handsome boys stand before them, you could feel the love in the room and that remained true all day long.
The ceremony itself was really lovely. Emotional at parts, funny at others and all sealed with a smooch and walk back down the aisle to cheers and applause by some very excited guests.

With the rain persisting outside for most of the day, we grabbed our chance when there was a 10 minute break to get everyone outside so that these two could enjoy a confetti walk. They got thoroughly pelted by their eager guests - it was excellent.

Shortly after, we were all back inside where the barn had been set up for the wedding breakfast (shout out to Plenty of Thyme who always do a great job and always make sure I’m well looked after)

Meanwhile I made a new little mate - meet Paddy who performed his best man duties with style.

After the delicious food had been eaten, the speeches had been expertly delivered and one or two drinks had been enjoyed, it was time for some dancing and some great tunes, supplied by the band Don’t Stop Now.

Oh and a quick mention for this glorious cake 🌈

Remember earlier I said that Richard and Elliot were my kind of couple? Right before I was due to leave them all to it, it still hadn’t stopped raining but these two didn’t care. They were happy to come outside for some pictures anyway.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at The Hares Field for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran smoothly.

Thanks too to all of Richard and Elliot’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all!

Hands up if you had a great time at Richard and Elliot’s wedding!

A Wedding at Friern Manor - Sophie and Matt

I love my job so much.
Sophie and Matt had the most amazing wedding (and party!) at the beautiful Friern Manor yesterday.
Great people, loads of fun, and I really just kinda felt like I was a guest at their awesome day with a couple of cameras in my hands.

Sophie got ready in the bridal room with her girls and they all had the best morning laughing and joking. Every one of her bride squad made sure Sophie had nothing to worry about. They took care of her and also made sure I had all the little things (like Matt’s sneaky note on the sole of Sophie’s shoe) that I needed to photograph so she could just relax and get ready in peace.

She looked completely gorgeous and before we knew it, it was time for Mum and Dad to come into her room and see her. She obviously stunned the both of them.

While Sophie’s bridesmaids and I waited for her interview with the registrars to finish up, I went to take a quick photo of the squad.. and this happened.

I knew at this moment that we were in for quite the party later in the evening!

While we were outside shooting the best album cover a girl band could ever dream of, Matt was awaiting his beautiful bride.

He didn’t need to wait long though. Sophie rocked up right on time and completely knocked his socks off!

The ceremony itself was really lovely. Short and very sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and walk back down the aisle to cheers and applause from some very excited guests.

Then for my favourite part of any wedding, but particularly this one. The very newly weds and I (plus the very awesome Zoe on dress floofing and hype girl duties) took a little stroll around the beautiful Friern Manor grounds to get some gorgeous photos of a gorgeous couple. I mean… check these out!

Then we rejoined their guests for the loudest confetti walk I’ve seen all year.

After the delicious food had been eaten, one or two glasses of wine had been enjoyed and the speeches had been expertly delivered (shout out to Sophie’s wonderful Aunty Helen for making me and everyone else in the room cry), we headed out into the gardens for some group shots. And of course with these girls, we got some beauties!

And then it was time for a very romantic first dance and an epic dip-kiss!

And of course the moment this lot had been waiting for all week… PARTY TIME!

We still had time to pop back outside and get a few night time photos. One of the many reasons I love Friern Manor so much is how amazing the gardens are for photos both in the day and night. Put a beautiful couple in the scene too and… 😍

We still weren’t done there either. Sophie popped up to the room to put on a party dress and it was back to the dance floor!

Honestly, what a day. What a couple. What an amazing bunch of guests… and what a party!

Did I mention that I love my job?

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

Thanks too to all of Sophie and Matt’s wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all and made many new best friends!

A Gorse Hill Wedding - Sumitra & James

Sumitra and James had quite the day yesterday at the beautiful Gorse Hill in Surrey.

Sumitra had a lovely morning with her girls getting ready in the bridal room. It was one of the most calm and relaxed bridal rooms I’ve ever seen.

They were ready right on time. All looking amazing and by the way, how incredible are those flowers?

Sumitra made her way to James…

Who was eagerly awaiting his beautiful bride.

And just like that, it was show time. Sumitra made her big entrance and totally knocked James’ socks off!

The ceremony itself was really rather lovely. Short, sweet and all sealed with a big ol’ smooch and a walk back down the aisle to cheers and applause from all of the guests.

Right before the forecast rain arrived, these two were absolutely pelted with confetti by their very excited guests.

And then the rain appeared and did it’s thing, which meant we couldn’t do the couple’s pictures when we would have liked to.
Luckily though, these two were cool about it and we just said that we’d wait for a pause in the rain and pop outside whenever that might be.
It turned out that it was mid way through the wedding breakfast when the rain paused, and yet true to their word, they came and found me and off we went to get some gorgeous photos.

After the delicious food had been eaten, the speeches had been expertly delivered and one or two drinks had been enjoyed, it was time for Sumitra and James to enjoy their first dance together as a married couple.

And then… PARTY TIME!

Right before it was time for me to leave them to it, Sumitra and James came outside with me one last time for a few night time pictures. I particularly like this one.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along and re-live some more beautiful moments.

Huge thanks to all at Gorse Hall for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran smoothly.

Thanks too to all of Sumitra and James’ wonderful guests for making me so welcome. I had a blast with you all!

Hands up if you had a great time at Sumitra and James’ wedding!
