A Wedding at Friern Manor - Emma & Chris

What a day Emma & Chris had on Friday.
After a very rainy morning, the sky did the decent thing and cleared up nicely in time for the wedding.
The actual marriage took place at All Saints Church in Upminster, a lovely little church with Marion, a world class Vicar who did an incredible job.

Chris and all of the guests were there in good time awaiting the arrival of the beautiful bride. Emma made sure no one was kept waiting for long though, as she arrived right on time.

And just like that, it was showtime!
The ceremony was beautiful and a little emotional too.

And then everyone made the short trip to Friern Manor in Dunton. One of my all time favourite venues. And as always, the team there had everything looking great for the happy couple, so we immediately took a stroll around the gardens for some photos.

We got some lovely shots a little later too. Both in the sense of photos and, well…

Before we knew it, day turned to night and was time for Emma and Chris to have their first dance.

And then… PARTY TIME!

My favourite thing about photographing weddings at Friern Manor is that it is incredible for night shots.
I always try to sneak my couples away for 5 minutes at night time for a shot or two, so I was delighted when Emma and Chris agreed to pop outside with me.

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

An incredible day for the most wonderful couple.

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at Friern Manor for taking such good care of me and for making sure everything ran so smoothly - as always.

Thanks too to all of Emma and Chris’ wonderful guests for making me so welcome.

A Friern Manor, Dunton Wedding - Natalie & James

What a day Natalie and James had at the lovely Friern Manor in Dunton on Sunday.
I arrived nice and early and the staff at Friern Manor already had everything ready - the place looked great - so I got the drone up in the air as well as taking some external shots.

Natalie got ready in the manor house with her bride squad and two little legends.

Meanwhile, James was excitedly awaiting his bride.

Natalie didn’t keep him waiting too long though. Soon enough she was walked down the aisle by her very proud Dad.
It all got a little bit emotional and James did the decent thing and had a little cry.

The ceremony itself was short and very sweet and was all sealed with a big ol’ kiss!

It was a little bit chilly out, but not so much so that we couldn’t take a little stroll around the beautiful Friern Manor grounds.

And we got to take some pretty great group shots out there too.

As night drew in, everyone headed back inside to the indoor garden for some drinks.

Before we even knew it, it was time for the newlyweds to have their first dance.

And then…. Party time!

Right before it was time for me to leave them to it, I grabbed the happy couple for one more little shoot outside. One of the very best things about being a photographer at Friern Manor is that the gardens transform at night time and I can get pictures like this:

A Winter Wedding at Highley Manor - Mandy & Colin

A snowy winter wonderland setting for the most amazing couple - Mandy and Colin were married yesterday at Highley Manor and it was just glorious.

It was the first time I had taken my drone to a wedding and with the wintery setting, I was so glad I did.

Mandy and her girls got ready at Highley Manor and it was the most relaxed and fun bridal room you could imagine. No stress, no panic, just laughs and fun (and lots of talk about jelly boobs!)

Soon enough, it was show time and Colin, looking like the sharp and dapper silver fox that he is, was awaiting his bride patiently. He didn’t have to wait too long though, Mandy was right on time.

The ceremony itself was very sweet and lovely. It was all sealed with a smooch and a walk back down the aisle to whooping, cheering and confetti!

Shortly after, I stole the happy couple and took them outside to the frosty garden for some pictures. It was freezing but totally worth it.

Back inside, in the warm and these little cuties wanted to take a picture to surprise Mandy and Colin with, so here you go guys… Surprise!

I usually don’t go into the room while people are eating during the wedding breakfast, but Mandy had let me know that she had planned to surprise everyone (including Colin) with some singing waiters. And goodness what a joy it was!

As evening drew in, it was time for Mandy and Colin’s first dance and it was so lovely.

Immediately after the first dance had been danced, these little legends made full use of the props available.

All too soon it was just about time for me to sneak off and leave Mandy, Colin and their guests to enjoy the night. But first, I was able to sneak the happy couple out into the freezing night just one more time for this little beauty!

That’s all for this little preview, folks.

What a day for the most wonderful, funny and fun loving couple.

And I didn’t even mention Colin’s speech! #ifyouknowyouknow

I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.

Huge thanks to all at Highley Manor for taking such good care of us, especially to Lynne for making sure everything ran so smoothly - what a superstar!

Thanks too to all of Mandy and Colin’s wonderful guests for making us so welcome.
