Well this was a special one for me.
They are all special of course, but Amy and I have been friends for many years. We’ve shot lots of weddings together and make an excellent photography team. So trust me when I say it was an incredible honour to document her and Tom’s big day for them.
They chose the very lovely Newland Hall as their venue.
Amy got ready in the bridal room with her girls.
Meanwhile Tom and the lads were getting ready and enjoying a few beers downstairs. This is a man celebrating heroically saving his mates (and his beer) from a wasp!
Meanwhile, back upstairs, the girls had been joined by Amy’s nephew and very dapper page boy, Zack.
Before long, the dress was on and it was time for Amy’s Dad to see her. It was an emotional and beautiful moment. I always love it when the Dad gets emotional!
And then… Showtime!
Tom was already over at the woodlands ceremony area waiting for his bride.
He didn’t need to wait too long though. Amy was escorted down the aisle by both her Mum and Dad. Tom’s face lit up when he saw her.
The ceremony itself was just lovely. A little emotional and very sweet - just the way it should be.
Quick note to anyone that was a guest - I wouldn’t usually have been on my knees in the aisle for the first kiss, but the roof ledge obstructed their faces and so I needed to be a little less subtle than usual. My apologies if anyone was temporarily blinded by the sun reflecting off of my big bald head!
After the ceremony, they had a confetti exit, which I’m a big fan of.
There was then some drinks and some chit chat, before we found a nice shady spot for some group shots.
And then it was time for me to steal the happy couple away from their guests for 20 minutes to take a little walk around the gardens. By the way, you know you’ve got a wonderful couple when you place them in front of an old barn for a shot and they immediately jump into a Mortal Combat fight stance!
They weren’t all fight poses though - I promise!
I don’t usually post shots from dinner in these little previews, but I thought this one was worth posting. little Zack loved the disposable cameras on the tables - this will be a great shot when the film is developed!
Before long, the food was eaten, the wine was drank and the speeches were spoken. It was time for a first dance…
And then… PARY TIME!
And what a party we had.
Lastly, thanks to legendary dress floofer, bridesmaid, and I guess now, photographer, Jess, for this picture of me and my mate on her wedding day ❤️
That’s all for this little preview, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to all at Newland Hall for taking such good care of me. Especially to Lucy for making sure the day went so smoothly and for being an all round hero!
Thanks too to all of Amy and Tom’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.

From the moment Jade and Jon first contacted me, I knew their wedding was going to be awesome.
And guess what?
I was right!
I arrived at Micklefield Hall a little early and so I took walk around - the venue was pretty much all set up and looking incredible.
I headed to the bridal room where Jade and her girls were getting ready.
It was a remarkably calm and relaxed room, they were running perfectly on schedule and having a lovely time.
Jade’s Mum Julie and sister and Maid of Honour Jasmine helped her get dressed while the rest of the girls waited next door for the big reveal.
It’s fair to say she blew them away!
And then… showtime!
Micklefield Hall boasts an immensely lovely ceremony space, and a very long, very beautiful aisle walk. Jade was escorted by her extremely proud Dad and Jon’s face lit up when he saw her.
The ceremony itself was really lovely and looked amazing in such a unique setting.
Immediately after the ceremony, their guests took great delight in pelting them with confetti.
We had a bit of time for some group shots, some smooches by the ice cream trike, for the bridesmaids to fix the bride’s veil, and to ummm… hang out with a chicken!
Next, it was time to take a stroll around the beautiful gardens with our bride and groom.
After dinner, Jade and Jon had arranged for the legends at Undercover Artists to treat their guests to an epic sing along. They disguise themselves as waiters and at an opportune moment, make a big old racket (falling over with a tray of cutlery) and then jump up and start singing - it was glorious!
Soon after, the band were set up and it was time for the first dance!
By this point, everyone was ready for a good party - the dancefloor was busy and the moves were epic!
After the band’s first set, Jade and Jon had arranged another wonderful treat for their guests. The boys at Dough and Deer rocked up and started serving freshly made pizza straight out of their pizza oven Land Rover.
And they still weren’t done with the fun - who doesn’t love sparklers!?
It was just about time for me to leave them to it, but right before I left, Jade and Jon took a little stroll back down to the lake with me for a quick night shot.
That’s all for this little preview, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to all at Micklefield Hall for taking such good care of me. Especially to Annabel and her team for making sure the day went so smoothly. That woman runs a tight ship and I love it!
Thanks too to all of Jade and Jon’s lovely guests for making me so welcome.

Well what can I say? Nicky and Joe know how to throw a Wedding!
They were married yesterday at Elmers Court Country Club - a special venue for a special day.
Nicky got ready with her girls in the hotel and I have to say, it was one of the calmest and most laid back Bridal Rooms I’ve ever been in.
Joe was downstairs getting ready with his Dad.
As the ceremony approached, Nicky got into her dress and all of her girls were waiting to see her all ready to roll. It’s fair to say they were suitably impressed!
Before we really knew it, all of their guests were seated outside and it was show time!
Nicky was escorted down the aisle by her very proud Nan, and the moment Joe saw her, he got a little emotional. Exactly as it should be.
The ceremony itself was short, sweet and all sealed with a big smooch! Nicky and Joe’s guests cheered and whooped and just like that - we had a newly married couple.
After the ceremony, the happy couple and I (plus bridesmaid and top dress floofer Elle) went for a little walk around the Elmers Court gardens for some photos. How great are these two legends?
With thanks to Chelsea at Elmers Court, I was able to sneak access to an upper floor balcony for a full group shot. There are some great expressions in this picture! My personal favourite is the little guy behind the bridesmaids on the right. What a dude!
Now, there were a good few surprises at the wedding (more than I can even fit in this blog) but there was one that even Joe didn’t know about.
Nicky had hired the insanely talented Kieran Sutcliffe to perform as a singing waiter. It was awesome! Kieran fell over in the middle of the room dropping a tray of cutlery and making a big old racket. Every single guest looked on in horror, but then he jumped up, mic in hand, the music started playing and Kieran begun signing. What a voice! Joe even got involved and reluctantly (but excellently) sang My Girl with him. It went down a storm!
After dinner the guests mingled and had drinks and the kids had a little fun - Elmers Court has a playground at the bottom of the gardens.
And then, time for the first dance. But not just any first dance - they had arranged with Toby the DJ to coordinate indoor pyro and dry ice with their first dance and it was soooo cool!
And then - PARTY TIME!
Now usually, that would be that, but Nicky and Joe don’t mess around when it comes to entertaining their guests. They had arranged for one more completely epic surprise. Erin from Fireflow rocked up and, well…. I mean, just look!
All of that, and we still had to time to squeeze in 5 more minutes of photos.
That’s all for this little preview, folks.
I’ll add one or two more pictures from this day to the Facebook and Instagram pages as I edit them, so feel free to follow along over there.
Huge thanks to all at Elmers Court for taking such good care of us. Especially to Chelsea and her team for making sure the day went so smoothly. That woman runs a tight ship and I love it!
Thanks too to all of Nicky and Joe’s lovely guests for making us so welcome.
